Ryno Griesel - Gravity Group

Jaco Sass

Although Jaco was born in Pretoria he grew up mostly in Namibia, after moving back to SA he spent a couple of years involved in youth adventure camps and youth ministry before joining the Gravity Group in 2007, where he has been in control of our Gear Sales department ever since and is currently fulfilling the role of Gravity Gear (Pty) Ltd Managing Director. He has a passion for people, as well as a passion for exceeding expectations and doing business differently.

Hein Stapelberg

Brought up in South Johannesburg, South Africa, Hein made quite a shift from his fields of study, Zoology and Botany, to work at height but has none the less made quite the impact. Hein is an IRATA technician and an IWH level 3 rope access supervisor, assessor, moderator and trainer, with over 20, 000 hours gained across a 19-year career involved in off-shore access and rigging, heavy lifting operations and industrial cleaning to name a few. The solution driven nature of his work as well as the unpredictability moves Hein into bringing order to chaos and helping discover purpose in people. He is currently the Managing Director of Gravity Access (Pty) Ltd.

Gert Forster

The founding father of the Gravity Group, Gert Forster is a born and bred Pretorian. Across a illustrious work at height career (a deviation from his studies in Nature Life Management) Gert achieved IRATA and IWH level 3 status early on and has continued to improve not only himself but the entire industry and has been doing so since 1994. It should come as no surprise that Gert has a love for heights, the outdoors and people.

Andries Nel

Hailing from Welkom Freestate, Andries has been with Gravity since 2012. He completed his B.Com Financial Management and then went on to become a SAIPA Accounting Technician as well as obtaining his CIMA Certificate. He has a passion for business that focusses on service delivery, honesty, integrity and quality. His aim is to help grow to company to such and extent where we can have the opportunity to give back to the community at large.

Ryno Griesel

Ryno Griesel was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and after making quick work of his Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification (as well as becoming an Independent Auditor and a SARS Tax Practitioner) he turned his attention to the work at height industry. With a passion for people and making a difference through business combined with a love for climbing and adventure, Ryno and the Gravity Group were a perfect fit from the start. He has been involved with the Gravity Group since 2005.
